Peacock Streaming Live Event

In February 2020, NBC Universal premiered their turnkey streaming platform Peacock. As part of this high-profile press event, NBC Sports was tasked to prepare a teaser for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which would be the first Olympics on the new streaming platform.

Set on the famed 8H studio (home to SNL) at 30 Rock and synced to a live orchestral performance of John Williams’ Olympic Fanfare, our team worked to engage the audience with beautiful Olympic footage, animated graphics and b-roll across more than 84-feet of horizontal screen space. A mammoth task coupled with mammoth render times, the success of project met at the nexus of solving creative and technical challenges.

Please note original live feed source capped at 960x540.
