Climate Now

Climate Now

Climate Now is a multimedia resource on the science and economics of climate change, covering the key scientific theories underpinning our understanding of how and why the climate is changing, clean energy technologies, important research, and policies relevant to the climate crisis and the energy transition.

I worked with Climate Now to develop an identity system that would establish them as an approachable and informed voice across a broad, international audience type. From logotypes, type hierarchies, color, infographics, animation, motion graphics, web and digital channels, our comprehensive solves have positioned Climate Now to scale and evolve as their mission matures.

TYPEFACE

We implemented Helvetica Neue Bold as the primary brand typeface. Given Climate Now’s international audience, we relied on strong and proven typeface that folks across the planet are familiar with.

Color

We landed on a comprehensive color palate for Climate Now. As a media and information destination comprised of video, podcasts, articles, and event pages, we leaned in on color to qualify content types and create visual relationships that would aid in user navigation on the Climate Now website.

INFOGRAPHICS

We also developed a branded illustration style that distills complex scientific concepts from photosynthesis to a Tokamak fusion reactor.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Animated infographics for videos were also designed to be easily repurposed for social platforms as media bites.
